Dear Faeries, The Great Circle is upon us, and you are all invited!
The Great Circle is the annual gathering of all faeries involved in the care of the sanctuary of Folleterre and of the community of faeries around it. This means every faerie is welcome to join as long as you’ve already visited the sanctuary before!
The Great Circle is also our annual in-person general assembly that will take place on Sunday 28/07. We will celebrate all our past accomplishments, all the happy little accidents, and cook up a concoction of dreams, plans and intentions for the future.
In the interest of having a fun, light, accessible, and faerie-like Great Circle, we decided to enshrine it into a full gathering. We intend to pre-discuss and/or present key topics already on the couple of days preceding the Great Circle. To shed light on uncertainty and resolve concerns or disagreement ahead of time.
We are hoping that in this way the Great Circle will be less rushed, more understandable, and benefit from wider community input. There will be opportunity to enjoy all the traditional delights and diversions Folleterre has to offer in High Summer.
Feel free to let us know what you would prefer to see discussed, including what proposals you might like to bring, by sending a message to great.circle@folleterre.org ! The facilitators will contact you to follow up directly, as we collectively prepare the agenda. Proposals can be made until the day of the Great Circle itself.
New stewards circle
Stewards are faeries who volunteer their time and energy to Folleterre, even when they are far away from it. The Great Circle is the moment when all offers of service from the current circle of stewards end, and stewards for the following year can make or renew their pledges.
