Is it secluded? Can we be naked and make noise? What work is there to be done? Will we have permanent residents? What do we know about the history of the land? Can we bring
pets to the land? How big is it? The house has a total of four rooms and about three to four times that space in semi-enclosed barn areas. There are several hectares of land to explore. The land is
located in the commune of Ternuay-Melay-et-Saint-Hilaire in the
department of the Haute-Saone (and the Franche-Comte region) in eastern France.
It is at the southern end of the Vosges mountains and borders one of the
largest regional forests in France (les Ballons d'Alsace). Is it secluded? Can we be naked and make noise? We are nestled in a valley with no neighbors within sight or (we believe) within earshot (they can't hear us). While there will always be foot traffic in rural areas, we do have the right to close the private road approaching the land. We have had no problems so far being naked, drumming and singing. What work is there to be done? While there is a lot, most of it will be to enhance the livability. We need a septic system, showers, some kitchen fixtures, painting, and a tank for the source. We would like to landscape to enlarge the pond and provide for whatever the gardeners wish. Faeries. No one person will own it. A French non-profit association (association loi 1901) will own and operate the property. A Circle of faeries will run the association. We are calling
for all faeries who want to help develop Folleterre to step forward and
commit to being members of the association and Stewards.
Will we have permanent residents? People have already started living on the land during the summer months
What do we know about the history of the land? The land has been in the Gullier family for some time. The father died in January of this year at the age of 96. He still lived on the land. When the children were young the family had four cows and gardened on the land. The house was destroyed during the war and was rebuilt in 1955, like many of the homes in the region. O yes we already
are Can we bring pets to the land? Pets are welcome, but it is proving better not to have too many at once. Please get in touch if you wish to bring a pet.
